2. About NISEDO

NISEDO provides telehealth psychology services to children and adolescents across Australia.

Information about our services, suitability process, fees and referral pathways may be available through this website. The availability of information on the website does not guarantee that a particular service will be suitable or available for an individual.

3. General information only

The content on this website is provided for general information and educational purposes only.

Website content does not constitute:

• individual psychological, medical or healthcare advice;
• diagnosis, assessment or treatment;
• a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified health professional; or
• a psychologist-client relationship between NISEDO and a website visitor.

A psychologist-client relationship is only established after NISEDO has completed its suitability and intake processes, accepted the referral, and the required consent and service arrangements have been completed.

4. Emergencies and urgent support

NISEDO’s website, email address and online referral form are not emergency or crisis-response services and are not continuously monitored.

Do not use the website, email or referral form to seek urgent assistance.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, at risk of serious harm or requires urgent assistance, call 000 or attend the nearest hospital emergency department.

5. Referrals and enquiries

Submitting a referral or enquiry does not guarantee:

• acceptance as a client;
• that NISEDO’s services will be clinically appropriate;
• the availability of a particular appointment or service;
• eligibility for a Medicare, NDIS or other rebate or funding arrangement; or
• the commencement of a psychologist-client relationship.

NISEDO reviews referrals to determine whether its telehealth services are appropriate for the young person’s needs and circumstances. We may recommend another provider or service where NISEDO is not considered suitable.

Information provided through a referral or enquiry should be accurate, current and complete to the best of the person’s knowledge.

6. Service information and fees

We take reasonable care to ensure that information about our services, fees and availability is current and accurate. However, this information may change from time to time.

Any applicable fees, payment arrangements, cancellation requirements, Medicare or NDIS conditions, telehealth arrangements and other service-specific terms will be provided separately before or during the intake process.

If information on the website differs from a current written service agreement or informed-consent document provided by NISEDO, the terms of the current service-specific document will apply to the extent of any inconsistency.

7. Medicare, NDIS and other funding

References to Medicare, NDIS or other funding arrangements are provided as general information only.

Eligibility for rebates or funding depends on individual circumstances and the requirements of the relevant program. Clients and their representatives are responsible for confirming their eligibility, available funding and any out-of-pocket expenses.

NISEDO accepts NDIS participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. NISEDO is not a registered NDIS provider and does not accept agency-managed NDIS funding.

8. Appropriate use of the website
